ATLANTA, Feb. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Douglass M. Tatum, founder of Tatum,
LLC, a national business consulting firm, described successful companies in
the $25-50M range as 'Gazelles' which provide the majority of new jobs in
the country. He warns that they can find themselves in a 'no man's land'
when it comes to understanding and accomplishing changes necessary to
continue to the next level.

Speaking at the Paalam, Inc. CIO Roundtable Forum luncheon recently, he
noted, "These companies have outpaced the talents of the entrepreneurs who
founded them and led early growth. Gazelles need new management skills and
capital to lead it through the next round of growth."
Tatum sees large corporations targeting these companies for acquisition
as a substitute for R&D, leading to a bidding war and further disrupting
capital market equilibrium and drying up venture funding for startups.
"At a time when large companies are shedding jobs, it's important we
start more Gazelles and give them every opportunity to succeed," he
concluded.
The Company asks that any IT executive wishing to attend one of the
upcoming, limited-seating CIO Roundtable Forum luncheons, call the Company
at 770-209-9700 or email to info@paalam.com for conformation of seating and
to receive a schedule of upcoming events.
